Our speaker was Jeff Gaines of Fierce Conversations, highly recommended by Linda McKissak and Dianna Kokoszka. Jeff did a 1 day workshop with us on delegation conversations and confrontation conversation. These two powerful modules that we covered gave us information that will allow us to perform better with other people and most of all ourselves. It is an interactive program that got our whole group involved. "What we learn today will help build a better tomorrow".

Presenters Harrison Monarth and Laura Sheaks were the speakers at the January 2007 meeting in Laguna Beach, CA. Harrison Monarth is the Founder and President of Gurumaker, Inc. C5 members very much enjoyed an interactive presentation designed to improve their presentations with clients over the phone and in person. Harrison's accurately advises: "In business you communicate to survive. At every level and in every sphere of interaction, what you say and how you say it determines the outcome of events."
Harrison challenged the skills mastery of the group by encouraging C5 members to use passion and emotions to propel their presentations to a higher level. C5 members unilateraly agreed that authentic presentations are the key to a higher level of success. Harrison is the author of "The Confident Speaker", scheduled for publication March 2007. He has coached Entrepreneurs, Senators, and other Leaders out of their presentation comfort zones.

The Group was entertained on the Blue Heaven, a lovely yacht, on Saturday evening.
Denis wrote, "I have traveled from the boardrooms of 'Fortune 500' top executives to the control rooms of NASA astronauts; from the locker rooms of Olympic and Superbowl champions to the meeting rooms of thousands of conventioneers worldwide, and, yet, one of the most memorable and gratifying encounters of my career was with the C5 mastermind group in roundtable interaction in Palm Beach, Florida in October, 2006.

The Group was entertained with a Evening Cruise on the Potomac and view of Washington DC and an authentic and very special "Barn Dance" provided at the exclusive horse property of a C5 member in Great Falls Virginia.

The event started several weeks early when the group was provided with a unique and captivating Interactive CD program which scored each member on their Leadership Ability. Our event took place at the University Club Symphony Towers - www.uc-sandiego.com - where Vicki guided us through the process of analyzing our leadership skills and how better to approach our clients and guide our staff to the next level.

This was C5's very 1st event. The Walt Disney University specially designed a seminar/workshop for C5 to concentrate on the importance of Customer Service - Disney Style. Disney went above and beyond as they catered to C5 - never wavering from their elite customer service even though Orlando was in the middle of a hurricane warning. Modifications were made for personal safety. The storm passed quickly and we advanced through the program with amazing precision. Picture perfect example of great customer service. Thank you Disney!
